Job Summary

Note: This job posting is always open for the collection of applications for part-time or full-time temporary support in the fields of accounting, bookkeeping, auditing or related fiscal responsibilities. You may or may not be contacted depending on university needs.

Work schedules offered will depend on individual departmental needs.

Vacancies may be in any UWF department on any of the university’s campuses: Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, other. However, most vacancies will be on the main campus in Pensacola.

Applicants may perform work in the following areas: accounting, auditing, bookkeeping and related fields.

Tasks may include responsibility for internal and external communications, reconciliations, complex number crunching and data entry, accounting, auditing, and/or working with computerized accounting systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in accounting or related field and one year of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in accounting and three years of appropriate experience.
For some positions – Experience in fund accounting.
For some positions – Experience in reconciliations, analysis work, detail reporting, financial reports.
For some positions – CPA qualified or currently able to sit for CPA.
For some positions – experience in Audit.
Non-profit or governmental accounting background.
Complex number crunching, data entry and scanning.
Experience using Access.
Must be Excel and Word proficient.
Experience using computerized accounting system.
Banner/Sungard experience.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Salary Range $8.10 - 17.74
