Job Summary

Note: This job posting is always open for the collection of applications for part-time or full-time temporary administrative office support positions to assist with filling vacancies that may arise in any department within the University of West Florida.

You may or may not be contacted depending on university needs.

Applications remain active for three (3) months and then are automatically removed. Applicants will receive an email at the email address on their application when their application is purged.

Work schedules offered will depend on individual departmental needs.

Vacancies may be in any UWF department on any of the university’s campuses: Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, other. However, most vacancies will be on the main campus in Pensacola.

Applicants should have anywhere from one to four years of experience providing administrative/clerical office support.

Positions in this category require skills of a clerical, secretarial, or office management nature.

Tasks could include responsibility for internal and external communications, records management, operation of office equipment, and fiscal responsibilities.

Working Titles Include: Clerk, Data Processing Operator, Fiscal Assistant, Office/Program Assistants, Office Manager, Executive Secretary.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma and one to four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Competency with Microsoft Office Applications.
Web-based calendaring experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Well-organized.
Previous experience in an office setting providing administrative support.
Ability to multi-task.

Salary Range $8.10 - 12.25
FTE varies
