Job Summary

Educate and advise clients on growth strategies, business model concepts and advanced financial forecasting, advanced capital structures and strategies through following network consulting policies and procedures. One-on-one advice and consulting to be provided include: business and strategic plan development; financial analysis and planning; marketing research and plan development; business management and operations; and basic legal issues. Develop educational materials and present educational programs as appropriate.
Outreach to educate clients, partners and stakeholders on SBDC services and impact. Contribute to knowledge creation and dissemination through communicating with peers and participating in network activities. Significant networking and alliance building with community partners including Economic Development Council, Chambers of Commerce, and other community organizations for the purpose of building client service base. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively. This position requires successful completion of annual professional development hours.
This position will regularly work evenings attending meetings and events.
During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off-campus location or place of residence.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in financial analysis and/or accounting. Strong grasp of English spelling, grammar and punctuation. Self-starter and strong time management skills. Comfortable working in a team environment and networking with community resources. Ability to edit accurately and quickly. Strong public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Small Business ownership/management experience preferred. Significant knowledge of entrepreneurship, small business management and operations, business financing, financial analysis and accounting, marketing, market research, human resource management. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, problem solving, and listening skills. Ability to manage a client portfolio. Strong organizational skills. Ability to network effectively with partners and stakeholders. Proficient computer skills and ability to use the MIS to enter data and generate reports. Ability to travel. A valid driver’s license is required, as well as, 20 hours of pre-approved professional development credits each calendar year.
Ability manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Ability to network effectively with partners and stakeholders, building strategic alliances and fostering relationships for increased partner base.

Salary Range $25 per hour (28 hours per week)
