Working Title HMCSE instructional Designer
Job Summary

Lead the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering online design and development team creating innovative, high-quality online instructional content and materials supporting UWF online education initiatives. Serves as instructional design strategist, consultant, and developer of instructional materials that inspire and engage students and learners.

Collaborates with faculty and subject matter experts on design, development, implementation, and evaluation of course/program components. Will serve as design strategist, identifying course goals and objectives, instructional and assessment strategies, evaluation strategies, and course management techniques, etc. for successful launching of instructional products.

This position will coordinate with HMCSE faculty to develop online course materiel. Research, design, develop, implement, and evaluate innovative instructional strategies and technology solutions that extend online learning processes and courses beyond traditional web-based instruction and online learning environments. Successfully apply theories of instruction and learning to instructional experiences that promote student retention and success. Use strategies such as storytelling, for example, to create compelling and inspiring instructional content.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Must have experience with online academic instruction, including course design. Prefer familiarity with Quality Matters certification and ADA compliance issues.

Must be able to collaborate with faculty and content experts to achieve project goals.

Salary Range $21.62 - 23.00 per hour
