Job Summary

Serve as the main point of contact for students, families, and the UWFcommunity for conducting business concerning admissions, financial aid, financial services, and the Registrar’s Office. Responsible for the daily administrative support for the offices of Enrollment Affairs. Duties include: – Welcome customers and provide exceptional customer service utiliziing courtesy, dignity, and respect; Serve as a knowledgeable resource person to students, family’s, colleagues, and the UWF community; Responsible for assisting guests with various tasks related to their campus visit as well as for providing information about the area plus the local vicinity; Provide up to date information to customers pertaining to forms and processes of the departments of Enrollment Affairs as well as Financial Services (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar’s Office); Review, respond, or refer electronic student/parent inquiries: Provide phone coverage for the Argo Central functions; Logging/handling and distribution of departmental faxes; Maintain confidentiality regarding customer departmental information; Respond and process academic transcript requests; Prioritize multi-tasking workload while working under tight deadlines; Know, understand, and follow the Argo Central Mission/Vision.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong customer/public service background. Knowledge of processes, forms, and day to day business practices of the various Enrollment Affairs departments (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar’s Offices), Financial Services, working knowledge of Banner/Ellucian; master’s degree.

Sorting, logging, distributing incoming documents and various administrative duties; Incoming mail for Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar; Incoming faxes for Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar; Indexing/scanning documents into Banner Document Manager; Filing; Researching/Matching unknown documents to students files; Follow up with other on campus offices and departments

Answering phones and emails; Federal Financial Aid application process and forms; State and institutional financial aid programs, application process, and forms; Federal financial aid eligibility guidelines, regulations, and rules; State financial aid eligibility guidelines, regulations, and rules; Determining aid payment holds and errors; Federal scholarships; State scholarships; Institutional scholarships; Financial aid/scholarship loss appeal process and forms and dates; Private alternative loans; Tuition/fees/fines; Bill payment and explanation; Working knowledge of Cashnet/online payment process; Short term loan, tuition payment plan; Higher One/Nautilus Card questions; VA aid/ Tuition Assistance questions; State residency guidelines and documentation; Major changes, deletions, and additions; Degree auditing; Enrollment verification; Transcript requests and process; Dual enrollment; Excess credits; FERPA forms, guidelines, and regulations; Class schedules, dropping, withdrawing, adding; Consortium agreements; Admissions applications; New students; Transfer students; Transient students; Senior Citizen Waivers; State Employee Waivers; Campus tours/building locations; Know and speak to Enrollment Affairs publications/emails/priority dates/deadlines; Knowledge of meal plans and food service hours; Knowledge of resident halls and residence life forms and processes; Knowledge of designated parking areas; Knowledge of Bookstore, printing kiosks, postal services, and trolley schedule; Knowledge of area and vicinity
