Job Summary

The candidate chosen will teach courses at the undergraduate level and will direct the UWF Speech & Debate team. The Director of Speech and Debate is responsible for overseeing the administration and coaching of a competitive speech team as well as hosting the annual Marks Invitational Tournament. The standard lecturer teaching load is 4/4, however, the director of forensics receives a course release each semester.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.  

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants may have a background in organizational communication, interpersonal communication, or speech communication.
Preferred candidates will have demonstrated knowledge of university financial practices and travel rules and requirements. The candidate must be willing to travel regularly with the department’s forensic program, as well as train and mentor forensic graduate assistants.
